WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR TEACHING STAFF?
Tristan Edgar - Dance Teacher / Choreographer & Director
I am Tristan and I am one of the Directors of the studios. I mainly teach adults in Ballroom and Latin but I am qualified to teach Freestyle, Street and also Dance Exercise.
I have been involved in all our shows and showcases across various different venues. My role also extends to schools and I have had a regular collaboration with All Saints Catholic High School for the last few years.
For me learning to dance has to be fun. I like to crack a few jokes and get everyone enjoying themselves as this helps them to relax and learn better.
Lindsay Edgar - Dance Teacher & Director
I am Lindsay, I am married to Tristan and I am also a Director of the studios. My role within the studios involves teaching the children on a Saturday morning.
I have been involved in all our recent shows either choreographing the routines for the children or performing myself. I love to perform on the stage, it's something that I gained as a child and if I could I would spend every minute on there.
The children would say I am a perfectionist but this has worked wonders in getting them prepared for exams or pantomimes. They are now all working towards a new goal of competitions and this is really exciting for all involved.
Elaine Edgar-Storey - Dance Teacher & IDTA Examiner
My name is Elaine and I am Tristan's mum. I started the business over 40 years ago and it has grown and grown. I am also an examiner for the IDTA and regular adjudicator for competitions.
I mainly work with the over 50's classes, special needs groups and trainee teachers. I do also run an exclusive competition class for the children to enhance their technique and posture in preparation for their next Competition.
Emma Donaldson - Dance Teacher
My name is Emma and I have been with the studios since 2009. I initially started as a trainee teacher and since then have qualified in Freestyle Dance. I mainly teach on the 6 week dance courses, adults classes and also on a Saturday morning with the Children's class.
I have choreographed routines for the last show and also performed a street adult routine.
Dance was very new to me when I first started but I grew very quickly to love it and make it my passion. I love my job and couldn't imagine doing anything else.
